DGTRANS conference, 4th SC meeting, 4th PMC meeting and 4th QAC meeting were held on 05-07 Novemeber 2024

On November 5th – 7th, 2024, the First professional consultation: Transport of dangerous goods was organized at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Doboj, University of East Sarajevo. The organisation of the professional consultation Transport of dangerous goods – conference, has been initiated by DGTRANS project. This event attended more than 150 participants including government representatives, representatives of the municipality of Doboj, representatives of the companies dealing with the transport, enterprises, academic representatives for different Universities/Faculties

First day

Opening session
After participants registration, the official opening ceremony of the conference began at 10 a.m., at which the Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Communications, Prof. Dr. Miroslav Kostadinović, representatives of the government, the municipality of Doboj and representatives of companies addressed and welcomed the gathering. After the official opening ceremony of the conference, certificates of appreciation were presented to long-term partners.

Session 1
Following opening session, first session started –

After presented sessions, special session of the DGTRANS project Fourth Steering Committee meeting organized. First day of the meeting after conclusions ended at 18 p.m.
During second and third day of the Conference special session devoted to DGTRANS project have been organized.

Second day
Special session of the DGTRANS project during the second day of the Conference started at 10 a.m. following participants registration, where the papers prepared by DGTRANS project partners were presented.

Third day
Special session of the DGTRANS project during the third day of the Conference started at 10 a.m. following participants registration, where the papers prepared by DGTRANS project partners were presented.

Conference at University of East Sarajevo, 4th SC meeting, 4th PMC meeting and 4th QAC meeting

The Conference ”First professional consultation: Transport of dangerous goods” will be held on 05-07 November, 2024. The organizer and host of the conference is University of East Sarajevo – Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the conference, 4th Steering Committee (SC), 4th Project Management Committee (PMC) and 4th Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) meeting will be held.

Training at Adriatic University Bar and 3rd QAC meeting were held on 10-12.06.2024

The sixth training for teaching staff related to the teaching methods and best practices related to transport of dangerous goods (TDG) was held at the Faculty for Traffic, Communication and Logistic, Adriatic University Bar, Budva, Montenegro. The main topics of the training were:

– Homologation of motor vehicles, social assurance, and tachographs in Montenegro.

– Transportation of dangerous goods, legal regulations, preventive measures.

– Transshipment of dangerous goods of class 5.1 in the Port of Bar.

– Lithium batteries as DG.

– Logistics centers for DG.

– Packaging for the transport of dangerous cargo.

– Presentation of the Handbook “Transportation of dangerous goods”.

– Visit of the Fire brigade, Budva with demonstration of a DG accident.

– Visit of TDG laboratory: Air quality monitoring with a simulated source of pollution.

– Terra Taxi demonstration of EV charging.

– Student enrolment plans & Dissemination of the deliverables realized at the mid-term project results.

During the training, the third Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) meeting was held.

Training at Adriatic University Bar and 3rd QAC meeting

The sixth training for teaching staff related to the teaching methods and best practices related to transport of dangerous goods (TDG) will be held from June 10-12, 2024. The organizer and host of the training is Faculty for Traffic Communication and Logistics Budva, Adriatic University Bar, Montenegro. During the training, the third Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) meeting will be held.

Training at University of Montenegro, 3rd SC meeting and 3rd PMC meeting were held on 23-25.04.2024

The fifth training for teaching staff related to the teaching methods and best practices related to transport of dangerous goods (TDG) was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Montenegro, Podgorica, Montenegro. The main topics of the training were:

– TDG as an intersection of disciplines and the importance of cooperation in solving the competence labyrinth.

– Transport of liquid oil derivatives in Montenegro.

– Discussion with stakeholder representatives.

– Experiences in transporting dangerous materials at Lukana doo.

– Development of a risk assessment model in the transportation of dangerous goods using ALOHA and GIS software tools.

– Procedure for checking TDG vehicle in line with ADR.

– Visit to vehicle testing laboratory and laboratory for vehicle diagnostics.

– Handbooks content, training programs and teaching staff selected at WB as trainees brief presentation.

During the training, the third Steering Committee (SC) and the third Project Management Committee (PMC) was held.

Training at University of Montenegro, 3rd SC meeting and 3rd PMC meeting

The fifth training for teaching staff related to the teaching methods and best practices related to transport of dangerous goods (TDG) will be held on April 23-25, 2024. The organizer and host of the training is Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Montenegro, Podgorica, Montenegro. During the training, the third Steering Committee (SC) and the third Project Management Committee (PMC) will be held.

Agenda

Training at University of Nis and IPC meeting were held on 20-22.02.2024

A working meeting of DGTRANS project participants was held at e University of Nis, Faculty of Occupational Safety in Nis (UNI on 20-22.02.2024).
The meeting was implemented according to the prepared agenda. The meeting dealt with issues concerning the practical aspects of carrying out hazardous materials transport.
During the three-day training, the following topics were presented:
1.Transportation of dangerous goods and emergency response,
2. Risk assessment of chemical accident during transportation of dangerous goods using ARAMIS methodology,
3. Instrumentation and protocols for flammability testing,
4. IoT for TDG,
5. Transportation of dangerous goods and environmental challenges,
6. Toolkit for enhanced collaboration using digital tools,
7. Collaborative skills development tools.

During the training, the Inter-project coaching meeting was held.

Training at University of Nis and IPC meeting

Training for teaching staff related to the teaching methods and best practices related to transport of dangerous goods (TDG) at University of Nis, will be held from February 20 until February 22, 2024. The organizer of the training is Faculty of Occupational Safety, University of Nis, Serbia. During the training the Inter-project coaching meeting will be held.

Training at Lublin University of Technology and 2nd QAC meeting were held on 14-16.11.2023

A working meeting of DGTRANS project participants was held at Lublin University of Technology (LUT) on 14-16.11.2023.
The meeting was implemented according to the prepared agenda. The meeting dealt with issues concerning the practical aspects of carrying out hazardous materials transport. The participants of the meeting also took part in an equipment presentation. The presentation took place at the LUT car park. A modern fuel tanker, a mobile truck diagnostic station and rescue equipment used by the Fire Brigade were presented.
As part of the working meeting, a discussion took place on draft syllabuses for subjects taught on hazardous materials transport issues. Representatives of the universities discussed their experiences and proposals WB HEIs.
The hosts of the meeting (LUT) also presented the equipment of the vehicle diagnostic testing laboratory and the mobile alternative fuel testing laboratory to the participants. The mobile alternative fuel testing laboratory uses a diesel engine powered by different fuels.

Training at Lublin University of Technology and 2nd QAC meeting

Training for teaching staff related to the teaching methods and best practices related to transport of dangerous goods (TDG) at Lublin University of Technology, will be held from November 14 until November 16, 2023. The organizer of the training is Lublin University of Technology, Poland. During the training the second meeting of the Quality Assurance Committee will be held.
