About

The most important results of the project will be the modernization of the existing curricula in the part related to the TDG (transport of dangerous goods) and the handling of DG (dangerous goods) at all WB partner institutions. Herein, special attention will be paid to the study of the causes of serious accident involving DG, as well as its consequences for human safety and the environment. Among other things, the curriculum should increase students' awareness of the dangers that can occur when dangerous goods are transported and handled improperly. In addition to the modernization of curricula, the project will also result in the creation of training centers for safety advisers in the TDG, drivers of vehicles engaged in the TDG.

Objectives

The main aims and specific objectives of the project are: 

- To identify key risks of the TDG by road in WB partner countries according to different regulations; 

- To improve existing and develop new curricula for undergraduate and master studies in accordance with Bologna requirements and national accreditation standards implementing new subjects studying the TDG by road. These subjects should cover both provisions concerning dangerous goods and provisions concerning transport equipment and transport operations. 

- To establish Training Centers within WB HEIs. 

Sustainability

- DGTRANS project attractiveness through communication, study program quality, curricula evaluation and update, students’ employability, employers’ awareness.

- DGTRANS project operational capacity through the cohesion and involvement of the partner HEIs and a stable project environment i.e. WB partner HEIs will maintain the formed laboratories and the new teaching environment and provide dedicated staff and regular financial resources.
