DGTRANS Fair, 6th SC meeting, 6th PMC meeting and 6th QAC meeting were held on 23-24 October 2025

The final meeting of the DGTRANS project, which included the DGTRANS Fair, took place at the Faculty for Traffic and Communication at the University of Sarajevo in Sarajevo on October 24th, 2025. The DGTRANS Fair gathered numerous partners, teachers, students, stakeholders and guests from both the country as well as media.

During the opening session of the DGTRANS Fair, Prof. Dr. Osman Lindov (UNSA) welcomed all participants and emphasized the importance of issues related to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, especially in the Western Balkan countries. In that sense, he highlighted the significant results achieved within the DGTRANS project related to establishing an educational pathway to improve the knowledge of future graduate students in this field and the application of this gained knowledge in practical work, as well as its impact on the safe and secure TDG. Following Professor Lindov, the DGTRANS project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Arsic, Rector of the University of Mitrovica, addressed the attendees. He emphasized the project’s significant achievements in improving curricula at eight partner universities in the Western Balkans, establishing laboratories for the transportation of dangerous goods, and acquiring essential equipment. He also highlighted the organization of specialized training programs for professionals in the field of TDG.

During the first part of the DGTRANS Fair, attendees were presented with several presentations. Adnan Čorbo of Hifa Petrol demonstrated safety systems used on vehicles for the transportation of petroleum products. Samir Džaferović from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, offered insights into relevant legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prof. Dr. Osman Lindov from the University of Sarajevo’s Faculty of Traffic and Communication spoke on accident prevention and emission reduction in the transport of dangerous goods by railways and Dr. Aleksandra Petrovic, UPKM delivered a presentation of the DGTRANS project results.

After the formal addresses and presentations, the second part of the DGTRANS Fair continued in the hall of the Faculty of Traffic and Communication at UNSA, where participants had the opportunity to learn more about the curricula and project results in direct conversation with representatives from the partner institutions. Project partners had their own stands where they displayed materials created within the DGTRANS project, so that all interested parties could obtain detailed information directly from the project partners about the project, study programs developed within the project, opportunities for student exchange, etc. Numerous promotional materials created within the project were also presented, such as laboratory manuals, training manuals for professionals, brochures, and leaflets. Additionally, the laboratory equipment acquired by UNSA within the DGTRANS project was showcased. The event was attended by numerous media outlets, which shared the project’s results and information about the final DGTRANS project meeting with the wider public. This event attracted great attention from those present and served as an example of the practical application of knowledge and technologies that are the result of the joint work of the partner institutions.
